These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to PullUpLeague, the pull-up counter and league for iPhone (the “App”), and to this website (the “Site”), made by Felipe Passos (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.
Your license to use the App comes from Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), and these Terms add to it. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple isn’t responsible for the App or for supporting it.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use apps like this in your country, to use PullUpLeague. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
2. Train safely
Pull-ups are hard exercise. PullUpLeague is not medical advice and doesn’t assess whether exercise is safe for you. Talk to a doctor before starting a new training program, especially if you have an injury or a health condition. Use a bar that is solid and securely mounted, place your phone where nobody will trip over it, and stop if you feel pain. You train at your own risk.
Standings (“Top X%”) compare your counted max with published norms for information only.
3. How counting works
The App judges each rep with your iPhone’s camera, the same way for everyone: a rep counts when you pull from a dead hang and get your chin over the bar. Half reps, kipping and reps the camera can’t see clearly are rejected, with the reason. The counter is careful but not perfect; light, camera placement and clothing can affect it. A set’s count can be corrected in the App, and corrected sets stay off the boards.
4. Your account
You can use the App without an account. Some league features (joining a crew, callouts, boards) need you to sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple Account secure; you’re responsible for what’s done with your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings › Account.
5. Fair play and what you share
The league only works if the numbers are real. When you use the league features you agree:
- to submit only sets you actually did, counted by the App, and not to tamper with the App, its counting or its connection to our server, or to submit sets in any other way;
- not to impersonate anyone, and to keep display names and crew names free of anything offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading or that infringes someone’s rights;
- not to harass other athletes or abuse callouts, crews, reports or blocks.
Sets are checked for plausibility and with Apple’s App Attest. We may hide or remove sets, results, names, crews or callouts, take away editions or places on boards, or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, and we may do so without notice where it’s needed to keep the league fair or safe. You can report and block people from the App.
You keep the rights to your display name, crew names and the notes you send. You let us store and show them in the league (on boards, in crews, in callouts and on callout pages on this Site) for as long as they’re part of it.
6. PullUpLeague Pro
Much of PullUpLeague is free: a weekly allowance of counted sets, your card, rating, tier and standing, records, achievements, the weekly event, every board and joining a crew. PullUpLeague Pro adds the rest, such as unlimited sets in every mode, the program, full history, creating more crews, callouts and showing your own card editions. The App shows which features need Pro.
Pro comes as an auto-renewable subscription, billed yearly or monthly. Prices are shown in the App Store and in the App before you buy, in your local currency, and may vary by country. The yearly plan may include a free trial for eligible new subscribers; when it does, the trial’s length is shown before you start it, and it converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (or when a free trial ends). The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Purchases belong to the Apple Account you buy with. Use Restore Purchases in the App to get Pro back on another device signed in to the same Apple Account. Pro isn’t shared through Family Sharing.
All billing is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. We don’t have access to your payment details and can’t issue refunds ourselves. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Card editions are earned by counted sets, never sold.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use PullUpLeague for anything unlawful, and don’t copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the App, except where the law allows it.
8. Intellectual property
The App, the Site, their design, the athlete card, the PullUpLeague name and brand belong to us. These Terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond using the App.
9. Updates and availability
We may update the App to add, change or remove features, and some updates may need a newer version of iOS. The league’s online features depend on our server and may sometimes be unavailable. We work to keep PullUpLeague reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be available, free of errors or compatible with every device.
10. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, PullUpLeague is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including about the accuracy of counts, ratings, standings and boards.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from using or being unable to use PullUpLeague, including injuries from training and the loss of data stored on your device. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for PullUpLeague Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived where you live.
13. Stopping
You can stop using PullUpLeague at any time. Deleting your account (Settings › Account) removes your data from the server and your iPhone, as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting the App or your account doesn’t cancel a subscription, which keeps renewing until you cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the App. If you keep using PullUpLeague after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
